Martin E. Dempsey, USA (born March 14, 1952) is the 18th and current Chairman
of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He previously served 149 days as the 37th Chief
of Staff of the Army from April 11, 2011 to September 7, 2011. Prior to that,
he served as Commanding General, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command from
December 8, 2008 to April 11, 2011, as Acting Commander, U.S. Central Command
from March 24, 2008 to October 30, 2008, as Deputy Commander, U.S. Central Command
from August 2007 to Mar 23, 2008 and as Commanding General, Multi-National
Security Transition Command - Iraq (MNSTC-I) from August 2005 to August 2007.
As Chairman, Dempsey is the highest ranking officer in the United States Armed
Forces. He assumed his current assignment on October 1, 2011.

Admiral James A. Winnefeld Jr.

Alexander "Sandy" Winnefeld, Jr. (born April 24, 1956) is a United
States Navy four-star admiral who currently serves as the ninth Vice Chairman
of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He previously served as the fourth Commander,
U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) and the 21st Commander, North American
Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) from May 19, 2010 to August 3, 2011. Prior to
that, Winnefeld served as Director for Strategic Plans and Policy, The Joint
Staff which he concurrently served as the Senior Member, U.S. Delegation to the
U.N. Military Staff Committee. His other operational commands include serving
as the Commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet and Commander, Allied Joint Command Lisbon.
As the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Winnefeld is the second
highest ranking officer in the United States Armed Forces, second only to the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He assumed his current assignment on
August 4, 2011.

General Raymond T. Odierno

Odierno (born September 8, 1954) is a United States Army general and the 38th
and current Chief of Staff of the Army. Odierno most recently commanded United
States Joint Forces Command from October 2010 until its disestablishment in
August 2011. He served as Commanding General, United States Forces – Iraq and
its predecessor, Multi-National Force – Iraq, from September 2008 through
September 2010. Prior to that, he served as Commanding General, III Corps, from
May 2006 to May 2008. General Odierno is the twelfth American military officer
to command at the Division, Corps, and Army level during the same conflict and
only the second to have this honor since the Vietnam War. He assumed his
current assignment on September 7, 2011.

(born November 12, 1946) is a four-star general in the United States Marine
Corps and the 35th and current Commandant of the Marine Corps. A naval aviator
by trade, Amos commanded the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing during Operation Iraqi
Freedom in 2003 and 2004. He served as the 31st Assistant Commandant of the
Marine Corps from July 3, 2008 to October 22, 2010. Amos assumed his current assignment
on October 22, 2010.

Greenert (born May 15, 1953) is a United States Navy admiral currently serving
as the 30th Chief of Naval Operations. He previously served as the 36th Vice
Chief of Naval Operations from August 13, 2009 to August 22, 2011. Prior to
that, he served as Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command from September 29, 2007
to July 29, 2009, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Integration of
Capabilities and Resources from September 2006 to September 2007 and Commander,
U.S. Seventh Fleet from August 2004 to September 2006. He assumed his current
assignment on September 23, 2011.

Allan Schwartz (born December 14, 1951) is a United States Air Force general who is serving as the 19th Chief of Staff of
the Air Force.[4] He previously served as Commander, United States
Transportation Command from September 2005 to August 2008. As Chief of Staff,
he serves as the senior uniformed Air Force officer responsible for the
organization, training and equipping of nearly 700,000 active-duty, Guard,
Reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas. As a
member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the general and other service chiefs
function as military advisers to the Secretary of Defense, National Security
Council and the President. He assumed his current assignment on August 12,
2008.
